today marks one year that I've been doing SCD/paleo!!

woohooo!!!

I wanted to do something funny like have tofu sautéed in bacon fat but I decided on my usual ground beef and veggie mess of a meal.

I wish I could say it's been a miracle diet and it has put me in remission, but alas, my UC is impervious to food. I will still follow it just because I feel stronger and my nutrition stats are 1000x better than when I was a vegan.

i'm impressed, i only made it a month when I did paleo... wish it helped your UC though :(

You'll get there bananagirl. Have you considered reincorporating LDN to the mix? I believe its effect is amplified with an anti-inflammatory diet.

I went vegan for a month and my body wasn't too pleased.

jac, don't get me wrong. i'd kill to just eat a big bowl of icing.

stealth, I didn't notice a difference when I tried LDN last year. kind of a waste of money for me.

It could be a filler thing maybe? I think Insofla is the expert on this.

My local compounding pharmacy was charging me $57 for a months supply, a complete ripoff. I started ordering from Skips pharmacy and they charge around $7 plus shipping which really warrants the purchase.

I'm still experimenting with it. I seem to get results one day and then the next reverts back to normal. I notice that what I eat tends to influence the effect. There's definitely some magic associated with LDN, I just have to figure it out and it may take a while.

soystud, I will not risk getting worse! nothing tastes as good as being healthy feels. I've just always loved icing. if I ever get married, I will definitely splurge on a pure junk food grocery store wedding cake.

stealth, mine was a lactose filler. that was the only kind I could get. I was taking oral but maybe transdermal would was work better for me. who knows? I was never able to get a prescription for it so I made it myself.

lol bowl of icing eh. have you gotten into paleo baking? i found a ton of great websites I can dig up if you're interested.

Jac, i actually just pulled scd blondies out of the oven! Omg the house smells amazing and im sure i could make millions off of this scent. Spray that on every morning and you best believe you'll get a date or at least a dog that wants to lick you.

I remember meeting you on the forum at the time, and you were so anti-meat...haha

I think you even said you'd never stray from becoming a non-vegan...lol

I agree with the StealthGuardian about trying LDN again, especially now that you're on such a good diet.

You're right about LDN working best with gluten free/dairy free diets like Paleo or SCD.
