Advocate

I didn't know it was available...I've never done so, however.

The only time I ever went to a meeting was about a year after my diagnosis. All I got from them was "you're so LUCKY you have UC and not CD"...and "are you available to do (a list of stuff)".

No advocacy there...lol...but that could be dependent on who's in the chapter and how they work.

I received a brochure in the mail last week offering advocate services.  My spouse looked it up and it was sponsored by a drug company.  Seems like a conflict of interest. 

Might be a good idea otherwise.
