Hi all,
I've been having some pretty bad non-blood symptoms (colon/rectal pain, frequency, d) which seem tied to pre-menopausal hormonal changes for me. (I also switched from Asacol to Asacol HD recently, but the symptoms preceded doing that. I use Rowasa enemas also.)
I decided to add Prescript-Assist to my twice-a-day VSL3DS regimen to see if that might help, since a lot of these symptoms seemed like they could be IBS. I've taken it now for about 6 days. It seemed to immediately lead to fewer bathroom trips and pain-- indeed, it's led now twice to 1-2 days of no poops at all, which is maybe a bit odd. But in the past couple of days I've also noticed some piles of very fluffy skinny stool with LOTS of the Asacol HD casings, which gives me concern. Any thoughts on whether to continue with the Prescript-Assist? I am glad the D and pain are so much better, and not sure where to turn next.
Thanks!
