There's this strong, pervasive notion that the calcium in store bought milk or supplements is beneficial. There are no studies, to my knowledge, proving this to be the case. In fact, calcium supplements and calcium fortified foods are positively correlated with cardiovascular disease and strokes.
There are other factors involved in building strong bones - magnesium intake, vitamin k2, and vitamin D are the three things that are a must for our bones.
