I was just reading an article in the newspaper in the Uk about
some scientists that have developed a fecal transplant in pill form for people suffering from c-difficle it has been very successfully and much better that using v strong antibiotics obviously cause your not killing off all the good guts anyway one scientist in the report said it will much have wider applications thinking about
us maybe?
I'm sat at home really suffering with this flare just about
to phone the doc for some rectal meds going to try and be a bit braver and persist with them this time before reaching for the pred, but I,m going to ask for steroid ones this time as I always felt the Ascol made me bleed more you never know for sure but I never felt they helped me much.
Feeling miserable because I can already feel my stamina going down it's the cramps stuff and painfully blood clots I'm passing that get me down it's like labour pains, luckily I have,nt had too much urgency this time

If I hadn't had such great success with LDN I would have definitely, without blinking, gone for the fecal.

That article says CDiff can cause colitis. I've not heard that before. Interesting.
These pills are just bacteria, like taking a probiotic. Most probiotics only have a few different kinds of bacteria (I think mine has 13, which is more than most). The poop pills would have hundreds of different kinds of bacteria. If you gut is deficient in certain types of bacteria, the poop pill likely has it.
This could have promise as a colitis treatment. The qubiogics research is looking for certain missing bacteria that are needed to keep macrophages in balance. If that's true, this may be another way to solve the problem.
