I am preparing to attempt FT therapy and have just received the results from my donors stool test, everything returned as negative except for the following.
"Bacterial Stool Cu.
Heavy growth mixed Gram negative rods/flora.
Moderate growth mixed Gram positive rods/flora.
Mixed Flora consists predominantly of:
Nontoxigenic E. coli - Heavy growth
Streptococcus salivarius - Moderate growth
No Salmonella, Shigella, or E coli O157 isolated No Yersinia, Vibrio, or Aeromonas isolated No Proteus or Pseudomonas isolated"
My question is whether these forms of E. Coli and Streptococcus should cause my donor to be ineligible. All other criteria came back as it should have. I'm not in a rush to dish out a few hundred more dollars to test another donor, though I obviously want this to have the best chance of succeeding as possible. Thank you for any help you have.
