Up until 6-7 years ago I was exceptionally healthy and could eat virtually anything I wanted without deleterious effects. Then all of a sudden everything hit the fan. Maybe it really is the recent proliferation of GMO foods that is the cause of all these food allergies and chronic diseases.
I am especially disappointed to hear about
soybeans. I supplement with lecithin or Phosphatidylcholines (PC) for general health and because PC has been proven to be helpful for ulcerative colitis. No more unless I can find a source derived from non-GMO soy.
Corn: Corn is the No. 1 crop grown in the U.S. and nearly all of it -- 88 percent -- is genetically modified. In addition to being added to innumerable processed foods, genetically modified corn is a staple of animal feed.
Soy: 93 percent of soy is genetically modified. Soy is a staple of processed foods under various names including hydrogenated oils, lecithin, emulsifiers, tocopherol (a vitamin E supplement) and proteins.

As Dr. Seneff and Samsel reveal in a recent study conducted at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, glyphosate is probably the most harmful chronic toxin we’ve ever encountered, and could possibly be the most important factor in the development of multiple chronic diseases and conditions that have become prevalent in Westernized societies today—including Alzheimer’s, autism, Crohn’s disease, gluten intolerance, leaky gut and many others.
Besides chelating micronutrients, glyphosate is also patented as an antibiotic...
What's worse, glyphosate preferentially affects beneficial bacteria, allowing pathogens to overgrow and take over...
It’s well worth noting that, on May 1, 2013, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) doubled the amount of glyphosate allowed in food... Soybean oil may now contain as much as 40 parts per million (ppm) of glyphosate. Meanwhile, research by Dr. Monika Krueger at Leipzig University shows that a tenth of a part per million is all that it takes to kill your beneficial Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium, and Enterococcus faecalis. So soybean oil is now allowed to contain a whopping 400 times the known limit at which it can impact your health...Post Edited (BabeintheWoods) : 3/8/2014 8:24:47 PM (GMT-7)
