I got a letter yesterday from CVS Caremark noting that Delzicol will no longer be covered next year.
I hope a lot of other insurance plans do the same thing so hopefully a generic can be brought to market sooner.
Anyway, I started Lialda about
two weeks ago because I had no desire for the Delzicol maker to receive any more of my money. Having to only have to take the pills once a day sure is convenient.

I don't believe this will make one iota of difference as to when a generic will become available.

I got the same letter saying that they no longer cover Asacol HD. Just hoping I have no problems switching. I was on Asacol since 2007 and switched to Asacol HD when it was no longer available.
Tap, how is lialda working for you?

The Lialda use seems to be uneventful. Thankfully I haven't had a substantial flare for two and a half years now. Prior to that I had flares twice a year, one in the spring and one in the fall.

Your flares could possibly be allergy related.
