Activia good or bad

Activia huh? I don't know where to even start on this. I'll list a few reasons why you should avoid it:
- It's riddled with additives and sugars to appease our taste buds.
- The amount of probiotics in it are negligible and will not colonize the gut.
- The milk used to culture it comes from cows in confinement operations. These cows are fed grains and other crappy foods. The end product is a non-nutritious food, sugar ridden food.
- It's pasteurized and then cultured, so they have to add back in synthetic vitamin D.

If you do eat yogurt, my suggestion is to go for stonyfield or wallaby or some other organic brand from wholefoods.

I wouldn't depend on it for anything ... try psyllium to help with diarrhea.
Probiotic supplements would be better for higher dosage. I use what's in my siggie.
Are you flaring? And what meds are you using?

Where does a person get this VSL #3.?

I got mine at costco pharmacy! Packets. Awsome stuff!

Hell no bro, just take the stuff, it's available OTC.

I take apriso too. For me (knock wood) this combined with VSL and cortenema is doing the trick to get me out of flare. So far, so good. When my guts start talking i take a dose and it settles down.

I don't have a specific kind, just what's on sale. But someone here told me to make it very cold and that helps. I put a little less than a half cup in a jar and put the VSL in it and shake it up. It goes down very easy, I don't mind it a bit!

Majority of probiotics advertised on TV are useless. If you use search function on the top you will know this very quickly.

If you are interested, Nexabiotic, Prescript-Assist are best bang for the buck for maintenance purpose. If you are in flare and trying to get in remission VSL#3 DS, by Rx is best. Very expensive but worth it.
If you are living in Canada, take a look at Mutaflor.

Coconut water, if its sold in the container, its useless because it is pasteurised. If you have Asian store nearby, they sell coconuts. Ask them if they will break open for you. It needs specialized knife and experty. Drink water right then and there and take home the rest to scrape off the tender coconut inside. Finish it up ASAP, earlier the better. It stays in the fridge for a while but loses nutrients.
