Great post, Eph.
These therapies have been around for
thousands of years and have virtually no side effects in controlled doses. If you study the history of medicine, Chinese and Ayervedic medicine have been treating people in this fashion with wonderful results for millennia. I can't say the same for any pharmaceuticals. These herbals and anti-fungals end up working better in some cases because they directly address the root cause, which is often a bacterial imbalance in the gut. Fix this imbalance - get rid of the bad guys, and then repopulate with the good guys. There's a war of attrition going on in our gut every single second of every single waking day.
Of course, the efficacy of all these therapies increase dramatically when the diet is altered - I'd like to see more studies where something like curcumin is used as an adjunct to the SCD or paleo diet. I think Rush university has the right idea with the SCD study, but it just needs more funding.
I don't foresee a future where these therapies become the norm, simply because there's no profit in something you can get from amazon for 20 bucks. We're up against a lot misinformation and stupidity in the gestapo medical complex, and they intend to keep it that way. That's why it's our duty to get the word out on this forum.
Protocolteck's thread is the epitome of how a simple fix can have life altering results.
