been bleeding for months and it won't stop.
I only have 1 BM a day and the stool is usually hard and formed. Streaks of bolod & some when I wipe.
Its bright red and I've also noticed that the more i wipe the more i bleed.
Ive been feeling a bit dizzy lately but not sure if its My anxiety kicking in or UC
My hemoglobin has been checked and the level was 18 I believe which is far from anemic.
I don't have health insurance so getting canada is out of the question unfortunately.
Can having 1 Bm a day with blood kill me?

I think the word kill is quite strong. Sounds to me like you have a bleeding hemmie. Are you on any UC meds?

I agree, I've been so frustrated that its hard to explain. I was on canasa during my first flare which was 4 years ago but since then i haven't taken anything since I haven't experienced anything till this year.

Sounds like a hemmie to me also.  I've had blood for about a year now. I would not worry too much.

I had a CT scan this morning and am going to see my GI tomorrow and ask to go on Remicade. Wish me luck. I hope I get it and it works. Nothing else is.

I had bleeding but no flare. I was diagnosed with a hemmie and a fissure. You won't die from it but anemia can weaken you big time. Please see if you can get it checked out soon.

Even though I believe your problem is a hemmie you should seriously consider taking some kind of maintenance drugs such as an occasional Canasa to keep your UC in remission. We see tons of people here who took meds, went into remission, quit taking their meds, and flared badly later on. Future flares often get harder and harder to treat so you are better off doing some sort of easy maintenance med forever instead of having a bad flare and what you did before doesn't work any more, causing you to have to do harsher and harsher meds. You should go to the doctor and get your recent problem officially diagnosed and get a prescription for some kind of maintenance meds like Canasa.

Adrina: I'm on the same boat, no diarrhea or anything just some mild bleeding. I did get checked for anemia and the doctors words were " you have tons of blood, no signs of anemia. You might even have something else less severe than uc".

Garylouisville:I agree, i tried getting some canada and got the prescription but the cost was 400$ which is a tad high.
And btw i thank you guys all for the responses. This has really been tormenting me and need the most advice possible.

Not sure if you're in the US but if so, then I hope next year you'll get coverage no matter what. See if you can get some maintenance drugs then. I totally agree with Gary.

I understand you may not be anemic now. But down the road I think it's never good to bleed constantly.
