First here's the Lymphoma one:
Intestinal Bacteria Linked to White Blood Cell Cancer:
www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2013/07/130716075251.htmI think about
this in the context of Remicade etc... but I also find it very odd that in the full study they mention a reduction in Lactobacillus - which pops up over and over in IBD studies as being highly reduced. Problem is when I try to supplement with these in large quantities via fermented foods my system goes nutz! But I have found them now to be very helpful in small constant low quantities like a small glass of kefir milk with each dinner and a reuteri twice a day. It just took time for my system to adjust, so for me it was about
3 weeks of low dose sorta thing. Who knows though, but it has made a bit of a difference so far I think. Anyway that's off topic. More to the point that again adjusted bacterial balance effects these types of side effects and symptoms.
And then this one from today:
Chemotherapy: When Intestinal Bacteria Provide Reinforcement:
www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2013/11/131122115758.htm - Well this one I'm not so sure what to make of just yet.. in a way its good I guess - equally though it shows how bacteria can and do penetrate our systems and trigger these huge and powerful immune responses. There's lots on Chemo induced Colitis and such. So again coming back to something changing our bacteria first then the onset of these things like IBD, C-diff and the list goes on and on...
And bacteria again are where they should not be...
