COULD THIS BE C-DIFFICILE??

ok.. um.. i have been sick since saturday and i have ulcerative colitis and so i have bloody diarrhea and i am taking prednisone and immodium and i need. help.. could this be c-diff?

I have a cough

Foul odor from stool

Blood in poop

COULD THIS BE C-DIFF? im so afraid of colonoscopies and i dont want one!! what do i do??

It might be. But the only way to know for sure is to have a stool test. Are you on any meds for your UC? Do you currently have a GI doc?

Could be Cdiff....could be a flare. I had both at the same time at one point. Call your doctor, tell them your symptoms and if they suspect Cdiff at all you will be asked to give a stool sample.

All of those symptoms could just be UC. You should probably ask the doc for a stool test to ease your mind.
