ugh tummy pain

so just found out not too long ago i do infact have uc. been having the same symptoms for awhile now....bleeding, cramping and gas. last couple days ive also had horrible lower back pain with loss of appetite or feeling sick after i eat. im assuming this is why i always have no energy either and could just sleep all day. anyways, today i have hunger like pains in my stomach. i have eaten today, and ive had these before. almost like youre so hungry youre going to be sick if you dont eat asap. does this happen to anyone else, even after eating?!?

So are you treating your UC?

Sometimes I'll have excess stomach acid that feels like hunger even tho I know I've just eaten. Try taking an antacid or drink a glass of milk (lactose-free if that's the way you roll).

im taking asacol 800mg 4 twice a day and also doing salofalk enemas nightly for the last couple weeks. other then that, just t3's for the cramping and pain

I also have no energy and tend to sleep all day :) thank you anemia and diarrhea.

Thankfully with my bleeding stopping my anemia is getting better.

As for energy... crapping out all your calories tends to deplete the energy supply. As well as the mental stress of a new diagnosis.

I often feel very hungry to the point of pain... sometimes I need to eat, other times I just have. Saltiness seem to help me during this. And warm water or sierra mist. Usual "tummy pain" stuff. I also use heat pad and ice packs on my tummy/guts/lower back.

Hot water with lemon is very good. Just squeeze some fresh lemon into a cup and hot water. In a flask is better as the idea is to sip slow through the day. Although lemons are citric they process through the body coverts it to alkaline which can help soothe things.

another thing that helps me is slippery elm when i am feeling icky
