Warts and immunosuppressive meds

Is it possible to get rid of warts while on immunosuppressive meds? I have about a dozen warts on my feet, gone through 3 little bottles of compound w over a few months, even had a dermatologist freeze them twice, no dice. I guess to get rid of them you need an immune system response which is why I'm wondering.

Wow, I never made the connection, but I've had tiny warts all over the place the past year or so! Weird places, like my arms & hands, my jawline, not my feet. No plantar warts, just the regular gross kind. I've had a few frozen off, a few sliced off, etc. by a derm. But then my insurance switched & I never updated my referrals, etc. Plus, with warts- they are a virus, & supposedly, it just runs it's course eventually, the wart will go away. I've been on Imuran for ages now, plus Humira, so I know my immune system is not up to par. They gross me out, but... whatever! Hate to say it, ipoop- but I think this is one of those nasty side effects we've got to live with!

I have had plantars warts on my feet since junior high school (about 15+ years ago). Getting rid of them seems all but impossible. I have them frozen, treat them at home, etc... I've even had them lasered multiple times, by different machines. They sometimes are finally killed off in one spot, only to reappear in another spot soon after. Almost all of these are on my feet... though I've had one on my shin, one on my arm, and even one up my nostril!

They seem to be pain even when not immunosupressed, at least to my body.

Plantar warts are really hard to get rid of, for some reason. In regard to the duct tape story, I worked once with a doctor who always recommended people put cellophane (Scotch) tape on them and keep them covered. More often than not, they would disappear over the next two to three months.

Warts in general can be pesky and persistent, so it's worth a try with the tape.
