Been in a slow Proctitis flare for 3 months...Mesalamine enemas didn't pull me out after then seemed to see things worsen a bit after 2 weeks of hydrocortisone enemas. Entire time had medium formed stools with blood

changed from Delzicol to Asocol HD 2400 mg/day about 2 weeks ago then 3 days ago went on Canasa at PM.

the Canasa almost immediately put a stop to the bleeding but still having urgency 4-5 times/days and now have more diahhrea than any formed stools.

Is this normal? I would think if the bleeding was stopping id start seeing more formed stools again?

This disease throws a lot of curve balls at you. Often times there is no rhyme or reason to it. If I had to wildly speculate I would say that your bleeding was from farther down your intestinal tract where the Canasa was helping it but that your switch in oral meds did not work well and farther up your tract has gotten worse, causing the diarrhea. That will be $100 for the consult.
