Oatmeal gives me tons of gas whether I'm doing well or not....so I'd NEVER, EVER, EVER eat it in the morning for breakfast. I'd only eat it in a dessert when I know I won't be doing anything later in the day or in the evening. I love the stuff taste-wise.
You would be better to have an egg for protein, maybe a grain toast you can tolerate, an orange and a fibre supplement to help with your weight loss (hmmm, sounds like my breakfast).
Oatmeal is total fart food for me, and while I love the taste of it...there are better options to help in aiding weight loss, digestive integrity, lowering cholesterol, etc.
