Path, now that I've had my tonsils out I am seeing my lymph nodes in my face swell up. First my lymph node on my lower jaw swelled up... and now it is receding but I have one in my cheek that is swollen and tender.

I don't understand why this is, but it's interesting to see my body reacting this way now that my swollen tonsils are out.

Let me know if anything comes to mind!

Your tonsils are no longer there to try and handle an infection (ebv, staph or strep)or a transient virus. Now your lymph nodes are responsible solely for trying to contain any insult.

How's your throat feeling? Have you gotten this HORRENDOUS flu? It hit my house yesterday. I woke up last night with every joint in my body hurting. Hubs has a 102 temp. I'm 97.1. Feel horrid. Gonna try looking at my blood later but can barely see straight from the headache and inflammation.

Oh wow, Pathogen. I hope you all do what you need to feel better. I don't want to jinx myself by saying I haven't gotten it yet, but yes I've been lucky.

I just thought my lymph nodes swelling was interesting. I hope I heal from this with time. I still am in the mode of letting things be in order to catch up with everything else in my life (marriage plans for example). Given time I will get deeper into what this could be.

Rest up and eat/drink good foods. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks! im feeling better, used some essential oils and extra ole + probiotics... Still real achey. Taking care of the whole family. Hubby was incapacitated the last two days and my youngest threw up all night last night.. Heh, so I'm greatful to just be a lil achey.

Are you still taking ultram?

I was reading about serotonin syndrome where ultram + ssri =no bueno.. Maybe ssri + other drug would be better for you. I remember you didn't like the sexual side effects and I guess they are hallmark of serontonin syndrome.
