Colonoscopy results

To answer your previous post Q, I still have UC because it’s chronic, and the Doc saw it on the scope; but it was confined to my rectum and sigmoid colon as it was on my last scope. The nurse said the biopsies would be back “in a few days” and the Doc would call me with the results. Past experience is that he’ll only call if they’re abnormal.

I re-achieved remission in the autumn using Canasa sups. Once I was secure in my remission, I backed off to using them every other day for a while, and then stopped them altogether. I have a supply in the fridge for use at the first sign of a flare. I tried enemas in the past, but was unable to retain them; so that’s not normally my first choice.
