Ok hear me out shingles in rectum

Ok many years ago I wrote about such severe pain in my rectum all I cud was lay down and cry cry cry for weeks then it stopped. I once took valtrex (separate time) just to see if I had herpe zoster in my colon, my doc agreed to try it, I was on 2mg a day and by the time my script was up I was having formed stool but stopped because I had no more medication . I went back later in week or so started up medication again it did not work the same, my stools were not formed.
I had chicken pox in 12th grade. I started having a rash on left but check when I was in my twenties, it appeared probably three separate times to I was 30 when in stress, I do believe now it was shingles rash.

Could my shingles since it was on left butt follow that nerve be what I have as left sided colitis??? Left untreated what damage does it do?
I'm not trying to grasp at straws but is there maybe a connection? Is there a true shingles doctor out there I could ask? Get tested. The clusters of blisters look like ulcers in the colon too, right?
I guess I could get back on valtrex and see if it works.
What would you do?

Also I had Epstein bar virus and herpes one and two I tested for, positive, although my doc said could be false positive and never in my life did I have any outbreak of any kind in my private area. But now I'm thinking I could have it in my rectum with all that pain!! Nothing helped the pain I can remember. I just wanted to die from it all.
I never had crazy sex either! I've always had cold sores and fever blisters and highly anxious very nervous gut , probably setting all this stuff off. When my uc started I was having blisters all around my lips on my face, clear blisters,and they could go away and come right back. I just moved and started anew job I was underOVERWHELMING stress and then started bleeding and downhill from there.

I'm. Not going to quit looking for answers folks. I'm going to get retested for Ebv and the shingles, herpe virus too.

At first I thought my UC was caused by the EBV since I went to the hospital with a severe sore throat, fever, and migraine headache which at the time they did not know what it was and treated me with broad spectrum antibiotics. My UC started right there in the hospital. I got better and was released, finding out later that it had actually been Mono. I found evidence on the internet that EBV and UC can be connected. I now believe though that it was the antibiotics which gave me the UC. There is a connection there too. Never heard of shingles in the rectum before.

So, what you want is a PCR test, but also one to snapshot the antibody levels, then you go back and test again in atleast 6 weeks and see if the infection is active.

My gi won't prescribe valtrex I have to have a colonoscopy for him to take biopsy of cmv and PCR test. I think I had this done before from another gi came back negative for herpes the cmv but not the PCR test.

He looked today and saw hemrroids and some blood wants me on two canasas a day.

My scope is next week weds second one in 5 months!!! I guess I will still get it done to see what the colon looks like and see if remicade is helping? I guess I wouldn't do it for cmv test since I had thAt already ,I tested negative before on cmv but he will do that PCR test.is that a biopsy too ?

He said remicade by the second infusion i should see improvement if not by third to stop it. But wants to check for herpes colitis before doing third infusion which isn't due for another four weeks for me so that works out fine.
Any thoughts path?thanks I'm just wondering if another scope is worth it.??

shes in town and I could go see her, but that will screw up everything then with remicade. I have to stop remicade to take Valtrex, you're not suppose to take them together. My one scope in 2010 said under Microscopic desciption

"No dysplasia, neoplasm or virocytes are indetified. one of these bits suggests superficial ulceration. they wrote zero evidence of virus."

I faxed my report to my doc he still wants to do other biopsies and look at colon. So weds it is. No biggy not scared of them anymore!!

Just continue remicade, up my canasa

I've been to one for two years in a row. We did diflucan and every antibiotic you can think of remember or no? I quit going because he didn't jini my lymes was related to gut and quit prescribing and thought the lymes was under control.
