For me it's not eating certain types of foods that got me into remission. Yes drinking "green" juices are healthy but removing gluten and other grains, removing dairy, removing any food that caused problems such as caffeine, fiberous foods, removing fruit and fruit juices, that was the key to my wellness.
There are other foods that also caused IBS such as eggs ad seafood but they were not as important as the biggies mentioned. Keeping a food diary was also essential.
Everyone seems to be different in their problem foods but removing common allergens (gluten, dairy) will usually be a big help. Later you can identify if you have other foods to remove.
Important to remember: removing these foods may not be "forever" because after I got better I can now eat some dairy and fiber foods are less problems. Gluten will stay out however.
Hope this helps. Good luck.
Also using mesalamine enemas at night stopped bleeding but it took diet modification to really stop it so I didn't need the enemas.
