Does your insurance cover Lialda? - INDIANA

Lialda has been working great for me. But I am running out of samples and my insurance will not cover the prescription. I pay $380/month in premiums and they want me to pay against my deductible ($3000). It is $890 a refill and my dosage is 4 times the normal dosage right now.

I know some people are getting Lialda for $10/refill or at least much less than $890. Does anyone on here have a commercial insurance plan in the State of Indiana that covers their Lialda prescription? If so, which plan?

I do not qualify for ShireCares and the Lialda card only reduces my bill by $120/month.

Are you saying that they want to apply it to your deductible and once your deductible has been met, then it will be much cheaper or free? How much is you deductible? My old insurance covered all meds (but were applied to the deductible) but my new insurance doesn't even list Lialda in their formulary. I have my doc's office working on this but don't know what is going to happen. You are right about the Lialda discount card. It can save you an incredible $120 but that merely brings the bill down into the several hundred dollar range. Most doc's offices won't give you unlimited samples.

I couldn't find any plan in my state whose formulary covered Lialda.
