OK, correction --- turns out it takes 3 pills to get that 425mg Mg. So, I'm actually getting 142mg Magnesium.
I also learnt today that B-12 is absorbed only in the presence of calcium. So, today I (impulsively) popped a calcium supplement. Having sandpaper for teeth definitely makes you do some (slightly) desperate things.
Long shot here, but has anyone else experienced unbelievably severe dry mouth (I call it sandpaper mouth) due to taking B-vitamins?
--edit--
My rationale on taking the calcium, and a thought as to maybe why B vitamins give me such dry mouth is:
-B vitamins apparently work in concert. Too much of one is the same as scarcity of another.
-B-2, B-12, and B-6 are associated with dry mouth, glossitis, and cracked corner-of-the-lip
-B-12 requires calcium. Since I get nearly none (30% of RDI), taking a B
complex results in all the other B-vitamins being more present, but B-12 is no more present. Hence, a relative B-12 deficiency, causing my glossitis.
Anybody knows more than me on this (wouldn't take much), please chime in.
