I don't see what it could hurt to have the information. Certainly avoiding any allergens would be positive even if it did not improve her colitis. Have you seen an allergist.
My son has had several allergy blood tests, plus skin prick testing. The only thing we have yet to do is patch testing in which minuscule amounts of food are left on the skin for a few days to check for reaction. What the results of these test really mean must be taken in context of each child individually. They are not infallible.
(He does not have colitis, but a disease that attacks his esophagus. For him the allergy testing was not very helpful, though he is highly reactive to many things, he is only allergic to a few foods. The suppose the best thing that we found though was that he was anaphylactic to shrimp and highly allergic to other shellfish)
