momto2, where there any rare bacteria on the test?

I figured out the file and broke everything down to the genus level- they even tell you how each bacteria functions. I have to work most of the rest of the day today but will start combing through things in detail ASAP. The first strange thing I have found odd is my level of Parabacteroides, I have 530% more than the average person and yet it is thought to protect people from IBD. Didn't do me much good! I will post more detail in the next couple of days .

My symptoms started at first with occasional mucus with stool after I had recovered from bronchitis/asthma attack which was treated with pred and augmentin (825 mg I think). This eventually evolved into rectal pressure and occasional bleeding which I wrote off as hemorrhoids. When the bleeding started every day I called my doctor who suggested I see a specialist, which I did 3 weeks later. By then I was having 2-4 BM's a day and sometimes just passing mucus. Of course I had a colonoscopy where they found ulcers through my sigmoid and then clear until just before the ilium. Biopsies all indicated UC, as did blood work. My maternal grandmother had cd so I already knew a lot about IBD. I had no pain until after my scope and then had tons of noises/gas issues and lots more bleeding.
That was pretty much gone by the end of November of this year after taking lialda from mid-June and cortenema from early July. My dr tapered me to 2 lialda a day in December and I had been doing pretty well. I just started seeing mucus and more gas about 10 days ago after a very stressful month and then a mild gi bug my boys brought home from school. I only have 1-2 BM's a day right now, but they have a small amount of mucus. Other than that, i am hanging in there! I am taking 3 lialda a day right now along with WOO and probiotics, l glutamine, slippery elm and potato starch.
