ajcn.nutrition.org/content/86/2/271.longSome studies say its good, some bad. From learning a bit about
methylation, the folks on that side of the fence contend it is the synthetic folic acid that is the problem and its causing a functional deficit in useable folate by basically gumming up the methyl cycle.
Personally, if I didn't know my genetics and that I had a very high homocysteine level, I would be cautious with supplementation and stay very low dose. I would not take folate without b12. I think because of how you react to dao you have methyl cycle issues. But I'm never gonna get you to go down that rabbit hole ;).
So, with that in mind, I'd cut the supplement and up your folate rich food.
