I've been taking some bifido probiotics but it also contains L.Acidophilus which apparently kills e.coli, some of which are good for you. My results show zero e.coli and as one strain 1917 i think i read, is supposed to be good for UC I want to cut that out and get one with just bifido in it, as well as supplementing with the e.coli 1917.
Looks like i should have some ruminococcus too, but i cant find that available on the market anywhere...
Yes, the Anaerostipes genus in the Lachnospiraceae family look very high. I don't know enough about these, though i did read they are butyrate producing which is supposed to help down regulate gut inflammation, which suggests it might not be a bad thing, but there may be a lot more about it that i just dont know and it's clearly not normal at those levels.
I may try the grapefruit seed extract, thanks for the tip. Do you have any links to information showing how they work against Firmicutes and for bacteriodetes? The problem is that it would presumably kill other firmicules and some in that group are too low already, such as the ruminococcaceae family.
