Any ideas what could cause tons of burping? Has been going on since I stopped Imuran three months ago along with occasional severe nausea. Right now I'm on Lialda, uceris and finishing two weeks of pred today.

Sounds like reflux. Try taking some over the counter Prilosec see if that helps.

As far as I know, burping indicates the presence of gas.
Are you eating a lot of gas producing foods or beverages?

You could check with your doctor to see if you should be taking something like Beano or Gas-X.

I get Generic GasX from Amazon and take 2-4 daily. Makes a Big difference.
Also can't do w/o Omeprazole- I get that by script and it's free on my plan.

Lots of burping seems to be one of the early indicators of a flare for me --- usually accompanied by bad heartburn, and vomiting while on the toilet. There does not appear to be a relationship between the burping and what I have eaten or drunk. I never have any burping problems at other times.

The burping has coincided with a flare, I've just never had this as part of a flare before. It seems like my inflammation has spread further up the colon but I guess there's no way to know that without a new colonoscopy. I've not tried any heartburn type meds yet... I'm breastfeeding so hate to add anything to the mix that i dont have to. The burping doesn't bother me too much, I just can't figure out what's causing it. Thanks for the ideas!
