Hey everyone!
I'm not sure how many people have tried/use psyllium seed or husk powder but I'm sure if you have, you found it pretty gross BUT it works awesome.
I have found a recipe that makes it so much easier to take it and thought I'd share if anyone wanted some help/ideas on how to get it down.
Also props to people who can just mix it with juice or water and get it down that way haha
cookie recipe:
1 cup psyllium husk or seed powder (seed powder makes them a bit lighter and I believe is a bit better)
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup oats
1/2 cup flour (if you are gluten free you could use whatever gluten-free flour you use I'm sure)
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup chocolate chips or raisins (I increased this because they are so much easier to get down with more chocolate chips or raisins in them haha)
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
6 ounces of water
METHOD
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F
Combine and mix dry ingredients. Combine and mix liquid ingredients. Combine both dry and liquid ingredients together.
Onto two greased cookie pans, divide into 16 cookies - about 2 inches across each. Bake for 16-20 minutes or until golden brown (not sure if you will be able to tell because the cookies are a dark colour... haha)
Each cookie has 1 tbsp. of psyllium husk/seed

PLEASE REMEMBER TO DRINK LOTS OF LIQUID IF YOU ARE TAKING PSYLLIUM HUSK/SEED
Hope this can help at least one person! I am having a bit of a flare-up and this is helping loads! If you still have trouble eating them - they don't taste incredible, but I'm a pretty picky eater and I can do it, but they're pretty dry and tasteless - I put loads of peanut butter on them and it helps.
