So, I am three months into therapy with Imuran. After a couple of panic attacks that I got pancreatitis from it, which turned to be false, I can finally say I am feeling better. YAY! There is still mucous and occasional bleeding, but the pain is much, much better. My insanely hardened sigmoid colon is returning to normal. After spending so much time in bed being barely able to move, doing simple things around the house is wonderful. I screwed up at the beginning when I felt better, and took my dog for a long, long walk, which sent me back to bed for a few days, but now I know I have to take it easy. Oh, yeah... And I had an outbreak of erythema nodosum in the meantime on my legs, but got rid of it with 20mg of Pred (now tapering) pretty fast. What would you say would be an appropriate time to have a colonoscopy? Is it realistic to expect, say, a year from now, if everything works fine for the colon to be completely healed, and in total remission? And I would really love to start going to the gym. I practically have no muscles at all left from all the laying. When is it safe to do that? All in all, Imuran works for me. :) Hope everyone else is in a good shape.
