So, had my scope yesterday...found two polyps. I never thought I would hear that. Is that somewhat normal for we folks? Kinda scares me. What can you tell me about them? Why are they there, etc? There is no family history of polyps on either side that I know of, UC or even IBS. Then doc. told the hubby may have Crohn's but not sure as of yet. So, my follow-up doctor's appointment isn't until the 28th of this month and this new medicine, Lialda I am on (4 pills a day) has literally controlled my bathroom times. I am down to like 1 time a day and haven't gone yet since I have been up this am. THANK YOU DEAR LORD! I get that my colon is inflamed but to to mention Crohn's!?!?! NOOOOO! To me that is freakin SERIOUS and in my mind, worse than UC in a sense. HUH?! I don't understand. As it stands now, no more blood in the stool (TMI..sorry) and the number of times in the bathroom have diminished but still get the tender/crampy feeling above and below the belly button. Just curious why would he say that. I am not very clear how much worse Crohn's is compared to UC exactly but it sure has me pretty concerned. Hate having to wait till my appointment so I know what I am looking at regarding the pictures they took of my scope and to see why he would mention Crohns.
After the scope I had yesterday, today I feel pretty darn tender (so what else is new..LOL) and wonder if it is just my UC or the after effects of the procedure (gas). HMM?! What do you do to help alleviate this feeling you may get? Just wish I could lay down at work! LOL
Thought I would post an update on what's going on. TU so much for your advice and support even if I have just posted a few things. : ) Need to have an extended "family" to lean on for support.
