This may sound like and ad but it's worked wonders for me so I wanted to get it out there.
Last July, I started putting VSL#3 in my nightly Rowasa enemas. At the time my GI was recommending I go to a biologic which I resisted. Within a week my 10 years of nagging symptoms (blood, mucous, urgency) were gone. I have been asymptomatic now for 10 months (knock on wood). Over 30 years, the only other things that has put me into remission is prednisone, so I hope we're onto something by putting a high volume probiotic into an enema delivery. No side effects.
I've done 6 of 7 nights for 7 months, then went to 2 of 3 nights for 2 months and am now on every other night. Things are now so normal, I'm thinking of dialing is back further.
Has anyone else tried this? If so, please post. If you do try it, I'd be interested in the results.

that's pretty awesome 30 ! it's been talked about
here, but I've never tried it -
how long and often were you using rowasa before adding the vsl ?

Soy beat me to the question I was wondering about
. In any event, congratulations. Don't get too cocky. Make sure you don't ever completely stop the strategy or you might wind up looking at biologics again.

bonus question :
are you now, or have you ever, put vsl into any other part of your body ?

yes, lots have tried it. there are many threads on this. can't remember how many it helped... probably not too many since nobody mentions it anymore. i did it with VSL but found that it was just coming out in the toilet and had no effects. just too much money to do after a week with no improvement.

I tried it for a bit and didn't see any obvious benefit. I may again. How much are you using of the packet? Are you talking the double strength, correct?
I've stuck vsl, vitamin e and soy lecithin up my butt and maybe one other pseudo-med, can't remember.
