I know that and it explains why alternative treatments get what appears to be positive results and why acedotal medicine isn't worth much with UC. These people had refractory UC. I think the general UC population gets a higher response to placebo.
This drug appears to be valuable for maintenance but you still are going to need steriods to induce remission 90% of the time in people that 5asas don't work on.
