I've been doing this UC scene for a long time. I've pushed off this scope for as long as I could but it's here...tomorrow. It's such a mental hurdle filled with fear. It stems back to the first scope when not knowing why I had horrible diarrhea, I went into the scope two weeks postpartum and woke up with a terrifying diagnosis and emergency hospitalization that separated me from my baby. Im in a totally different place but EVERY time I have a scope I go through this anxiety and fear process that is out of proportion.

and it sounds like you make it through just fine every time - this one will be just the same

I'd be a big baby too... simply because I'm afraid of the white coats performing the procedures. They are very scary and evil people to be dealing with.

My young kids were watching an episode of M*A*S*H yesterday and noticed blood on the white coats as the surgeons operated and one of them asked, "Why do they wear WHITE coats?".

The prep is always the worst process for most of us....

Personally, I have no problem with the c-scope. I think it's because I trust my doctor and I got to watch the process on-screen from the beginning 25 years ago. So, that made it "cool"..

The drugs are pretty good too!

It's not the worst test in my experience....for you, however, I understand your fears.

Keep it in perspective....
You were pregnant and delivered a baby. Nothing I've ever been interested in experiencing for a variety of reasons.
