I have UC affective the lowest 6 cm of my rectum. I have been having a flare for over 3 months. The symptoms get better sometimes, but I am never feeling perfect. So the doctor put me on 4.8 g asacol oral per day and 4 g asacol enema. I did not feel any difference. The enema is causing me cramps at night, and when I go to the bathroom in the morning, It is diarrhea almost liquidy and I see the enema liquid around the stool. Is this normal? are the cramps during the night from the enema normal? Are they even from the enema? I only go to the bathroom in the morning, and I go another time at like 6 pm with some blood and mucus. Please let me know if you think I should upgrade anything with with my medication because the docs don't seem to change anything . Ive seen over 3 docs and all are prescribing the same with only different dosages, and enema/suppository. nothing seems to help. thank you
