That never seemed to bother you before. I take Grape seed extract and DAO and they both help me tremendously. Many people here take something outside the box or off the beaten path. Why would you bring up an herb that cures you and then not want to share it with others when asked what it is? I guess you would rather talk about your thoughts on doctors than share your $5 cure. You often seem like you are just here to further your extremist agendas instead of sharing something that might actually help others. You'll only get ridiculed if you proclaim that your $5 herb is the cure for everyone. Otherwise, you will just be one of the many people that has found the answer for them.

I feel awful today. Lots of sick drama in the psychopath house and my gut is feeling like it's going to explode.
My appt with my GI is next week. I am going to ask for Simponi. I hope he agrees because I'm so tired of this but if there is anything natural I can do, I want to try it too.

And to the OP, please don't lose hope. It's hard to get through it when you're in the midst of feeling so horrible, but it won't always be this way.

I was diagnosed with mild to moderate UC a year ago. Went on ASACOL and couldn't really deal with Salofolk. Neither worked. Went on 5 weeks Prednisone to get the inflammation and bleeding under control. That helped. Also started Paleo at about the same time, draw from SCD and GAPS. Current diet focus is Autoimmune Protocol AIP. Started seeing a homeopath a month ago, initial great improvement to control urgency, improve energy and felt like a normal person. Now we are playing with the dosage again and I am starting to feel discouraged. Feeling foolish trying to do this holistically. Current symptoms are mild but still have occasional urgency, sometimes mild cramp when voiding and occasional mild bleeding or clots @InSoFlo 's story really encourages me. Hoping to find more support from individuals who has been able to get this under control without meds. I know it's rare.

Diagnosed June 2013
Paleo - grain free since Sept 2013
Past treatment: very short term ASACOL and Salofolk, 5 weeks Prednisone
Current healing routine: AIP, Food source probiotics - fermented foods and drinks, 4-5 tbsp Udo's oil, 1 -2 tsp Great Lake grass fed gelatin, 5000-7000 IU Vit D
Slippery Elm gruel, George's Aloe Vera Juice when symptoms are stronger
