Flare after cold?

Do you usually get a flare after having a cold? Sometimes? It seems the last two colds I have gotten, both within a few months of each other, flare symptoms returned around the last few days of my cold. I just started VLS#3 probiotics yesterday while getting over this cold, the same day I started to see blood. I don't think a flare could start from vls#3 (just one packet) but I could be wrong. Would love to hear others experience with cold vs flare. Hope everyone is doing well.

I have noticed an increase in bowel issues that comes with the onset of a viral infection. When the virus is gone, the bowel symptoms go away within a few days, thank goodness.

geez, it's been a while since I had one - and that is weird in and of itself - don't recall tho that colds had any effect -

did you take anything for it ? any otc stuff ?

No I didn't. My first cold I took dayquil and nyquil and some flare symptoms started shortly after. So when this cold came around I tried not taking any otc meds to see if that what was causing the symptoms, but obviously not. I am thinking the cold itself is what is causing my mild flare symptoms. Just starting to feel better today, cold-wise.

I didn't have a cold for years, then I got one this winter, and after, I flared. I still haven't gotten back to normal since.

Colds or other sicknesses can fire up your immune system and bring on a flare, no doubt. Even though most people benefit from VSL I wouldn't automatically discount that as the cause. It can make some worse.

Have not ruled out vsl#3 but the more I read the more I feel it is the cold that keeps bringing these mini flares back.
