Medrol vs prednisone

Simple question what is the difference and which is better.
Btw I am on 2 g of oral salofalk now and symptom free.

Can't give you a scientific answer because I'm not totally sure of the difference but I do know that Medrol is more potent than prednisone so 10 mgs of Medrol is stronger than 10 mgs of prednisone.

To be honest I have found an article that where it is said something like that medrol is slightly less dangerous to the body.
I am really not sure about that I have also found on one other forum now a guy that is talking that

I am writing that because I see how much all of you hate pred. My grandma had sarcoidos ( I know that I have misspelled) and she was drinking pred and after that medrol because doctors have said it is better.

I was a bit curios that I have never heard of medrol on this forum.

If you are asking solely for side effect differences I don't believe there are any at all, except for the fact that 4mgs of Medrol equals 5mgs or prednisone. So, if you are taking 40mgs of prednisone that is the same as taking 32mgs of Medrol. These doses would be identical, side effects and all. Now if you were taking 40 mgs or Medrol instead of 40 mg's of prednisone, you might have more side effects with the medrol just because it would be the equivilant of taking 50mgs of pred. The only real difference is in the dosage amount and of course with some diseases you might find that the medrol works better because it is more potent than the same amount of pred.
