Blood in your stool could be caused by straining when you poop, a hemmie, a tear in your rectum from insertion of a suppository/enema, a fissure, a fistula, the start of a uc flareup, or cancer. It could be many things. If it only happened once then I would not worry. However, if it happens multiple times you might need to see your GI and have him/her give you an examination (often an in-office flex-sigmoidoscopy).
