Entocort EC for UC?

Just curious if anybody tried Entocort EC (NOT the regular Entocort) for UC and if it has helped.

There are few discussions in the past that talk about Entocort, that didn't help many folks. This question is regarding Enteric Coated Entocort (not too sure if this is ileal release, if anyone knows for sure, please chime in.)

Just came back from the GI and she asked me to increase Sulfasalazine up to 3tabs 4X a day. She is not inclined towards steroids. Taking Kazbern's advice, ramping it up slowly.

Entocort®EC (budesonide) Capsules

CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY
Budesonide has a high topical glucocorticosteroid (GCS) activity and a substantial first pass elimination. The formulation contains granules which are coated to protect dissolution in gastric juice, but which dissolve at pH >5.5, ie, normally when the granules reach the duodenum. Thereafter, a matrix of ethylcellulose with budesonide controls the release of the drug into the intestinal lumen in a time-dependent manner.

The duodenum is the first section of the small intestine.
