I have been on Lialda for about 7ish months. I have noticed some changes that my gastro doctor isn't really paying any attention to and I want to see if any of those who were taking Lialda for Ulcerative Colitis had the same trouble. I have been losing a lot a lot of hair! Enough for my husband to notice it laying on the floors the couch and a big chunk fell out last night in my hoodie. Any time I run my fingers through my hair (which I don't typically do. I just do it to prove how much hair is coming out) or anything to have a sort of tug to my hair chunks fall out. I have or had very very thick hair, but it's thinning. No bald spots yet! But it's getting really bad. Then another issue I've had since taking Lialda is weight loss. Like about 40lb weight loss, and I'm a petite girl to begin with. I went down three pant sizes and now a size 3 is getting too small and that was my jean size when I was in high school. Another issue is acne. I didn't have beautiful skin to begin with but now I get like cystic acne. It hurts really bad under the skin at first and then when it comes to the surface it's red and big and has a lot of pus in it. (Gross I know, I'm sorry) Then for awhile I had no appetite and I mean none! So my gastro doctor monitored that and then a few months later it's like my appetite caught up to the lack of appetite and I could never get full. But I still never ever put on weight. Lastly I've noticed since starting Lialda I've had many more headaches, migraines, and body aches. I get migraines and headaches from time to time due to my epilepsy but these are very frequent and very painful. Especially the muscle aches. Oh and I've had more seizures. Before Lialda I would usually have one every 3 months or more. Now I literally have them once a month and they are much worse than before. I vomit and vomit and then I get dehydrated. It's awful! I was just taken in the ambulance to the hospital because of a violent seizure. I know it's because Lialda. This all too "ironic" for it to just be happening. Please share your expierences.
