If I can acquire these types of pills, I may one day try them out. I recently learned about
a "causal pie" model in epidemiology.
journals.lww.com/epidem/Fulltext/2013/03000/Causal_Pie_Bingo_.22.aspxI had infectious colitis a year before I was diagnosed. However, once that cleared up, I was totally fine until I took another course of antibiotics a 8 months or so later. I feel like having an infection on its own was not enough to cause autoimmunity in my colon, but it may have filled a piece of the pie, so to speak. I wonder if one could figure out all their environmental triggers, and could somehow reverse the ones that can be controlled, if that could induce and maintain disease remission...
I can think of a few environmental factors in my own case, and I think gut microbiome is one of them. I will definitely look into it more at some point in the future.
