Sorry to say I am back! It started happening about a week ago and I have started fighting back!

I am a little scared because this is my 2nd flare and I think I read they get progressively worse, is that true?

It was a nice year, funny how it is coming right before the holidays again.😥

I would like to add that I just had a exam by my dr last week and he was pretty rough down there during rectal exam. I have it mostly in rectum last time they scoped. I wondered if his roughness did it? I was actually saying OUCH as he prodded!!! That could not have helped.

Sorry to hear you're flaring up again. No, every flare up is different in severity and length. Sometimes you get lucky and a flare is mild other times it can be the flare from hell (like my last one). *Fingers crossed* that this is an easy one.

ya, saying OUCH never got me out of a lick of pain ;-)

hang in there DM - I always look forward to feeling crappy for the holidays - gets me outa some gatherings that are worse than a flare !

My 2nd flare was only worse than my first because I couldn't get onto meds in time. My flares have been mixed, not progressively worse so all is not lost.

That is interesting that you started you second flare because I started my second flare about 1 month ago, really close to yours. My second flare was a little worse but only because I was no on meds, out of rebellion, and I tried to get it back under control my own way and it didn't work, I waited too long to get medical attention and ended up having to go back to the hospital for 4 days... fast forward 2 1/2 weeks later I am 90% better and pretty much back in remission it seems, all bm's are normal fully formed with no mucus or blood and I feel great, praise God.

I just highly recommend you get it under control ASAP. Dont wait! I think you will be fine DMC, you had it under control once and you can do it again, don't give up hope!!

Thanks for the chuckles. Apriso which i take religously kept me in remission. Hydro and apriso got me there. I kept trying to rake the enema but it would just squirt out. When I get back in remission(pos thinking) I am going to keep putting it in even if it just squirts out!!! Lesson learned. But now I am back ob fodmaps just to get all the crap back out of my system. I never ate the worst things for me, honey, popcorn, raw veggies, dairy, but i did eat bread and pasta and lots of vino! It was heaven but the party is over. Oh and i am tsking VSL every day again. I guess i need schooling in maintanence! Xoxo

just because you won the ladies auxiliary arm wrestling championship, doesn't mean you have to squeeze the poor enema bottle to death - kinda like milking a camel - gentle but firm -

I honestly have never had a squirt out episode in all the millions of hooter hosings i've done - you are "inserting" aren't you - you can't just step back and "aim" ;-)
