I believe Cimzi is used mostly for Chrons so that's why you won't find much info concerning UC. Are you currently on a biologic (remicade, humira, simponi)? Typically, the docs start on one of those and progress through them.

I'm looking to get pregnant again as soon this flare is over and my doctor said Cimzia was better for pregnancy. I go to see my high risk OB tomorrow to see what he thinks . I asked about
Humira after I had my TB test but thru said the doctor isn't in all week and she would have to make that switch. I'm hoping maybe the insurance will say I have to try humira first?

I'm not sure which drug would be better for a developing baby. My wife and I did some research on my meds on this site---

My GI started me on Cimzia for my first biologic for the same reason -- it's the IBD biologic that has been tested most extensively for safety during pregnancy. Unfortunately it did not work for me, although I can happily report that I didn't have any unpleasant side effects (basically no effects at all).
No one told me this so I'll tell you -- it's normal to develop a raised area around where you do your Cimzia injection, and then it will slowly absorb over a few days. That's not a reaction, it's NORMAL. Don't worry!
