Today is the first time in several (?) years that I have not had a single bowel movement. It has been long enough that I cannot remember the last time this occurred.
That being said I really do like one good, colon cleansing BM a day. I consider it an accomplishment.
In all seriousness I consider this a positive sign that my flare my finally be going into remission.
Drug wise I am on 3.6 GM of Lialda per day and I am about to receive my third Entyvio infusion. It looks like Entyvio is working for me.
I mention Entyvio a lot in my posts. Hopefully I do not come across as a shill for the drug. For me it was a drastic step to accept a biological. It was something I avoided for a significant period of time. This is the only biological I have taken. Immuran did nothing but make me feel like crap and kill all my energy levels.
Prednisone works for me. But it "terrifies" me as a drug. I have seen first hand the mid/long term effects of the steroid on other people. I will only accept it if absolutely necessary and only for a limited period of time.
Rowasa/Mesalimine enemas work for me also. Well at least if I take them every day. However for me it makes for NOT a relaxing evening to have to deal with an enema. Plus they are a bit of a PITA to travel with. Especially if you are going to be overseas for a couple of weeks.
