Essential oils for UC?

Has anyone had experience using essential oils internally for treatment of UC? I've come across several testimonials of people with Crohns having success with relief of symptoms and/or putting flares into remission with oils, but all ended with a sales pitch. Any feedback?

And here is my thread on it though I don't have UC, I have Crohn's-Colitis but some others with UC speak on it.

Also I had a list going at one time and what stood out was that is seemed to work very well for Proctitis, Pancolitis etc etc but for some reason not well at all for true "Ulcerative Colitis".

There was some thought/discussion that maybe it was not tried for a long enough period of time, or alternatively that it just does't work for Ulcerative Colitis so you'll have to ask around and or give it a go and let everyone know.
