IWILL BE SCARED OF COMING OFF THE ENAMA ( PREDISALONE) IN CASE IT ALL STARTS AGAIN.PLEASE.

WHEN PEOPLE SAY THEY ARE HAVING A FLARE UP , HAVE THEY COME OFF THE ENAMAS.

You can't take a steroid enema for life. If you need a maintenance rectal med, you could try a mesalamine enema or suppository.

Some people taper off. Some people continue a weekly or bi-weekly use. It varies.

Steroid enemas are not for long term use. What is the maintenance plan? mesalamine enemas are an excellent option. Most of us find we can taper them to a few times a week or less instead of every night, but rectal inflammation can take a very long time to resolve completely.
