Unable to control bleeding

I am a 30 years old male. I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in Oct 2014. It was caused by c-diff. After colonoscopy, my doctor told me that he observed mild to moderate inflammation in my rectal.

The only symptom I have is bleeding. Sometimes I have blood drops and pus. No looser or urgent bowel movement. No diarrhea. No abdominal pain.

I am using Canasa (mesalamine suppository) and Lialda (mesalamine tablet) now. The amount of blood has been decreased since Oct 2014. However, bleeding never stops.

In the end of Dec 2014, more blood was observed. I am very worried.

Do you have any suggestions on my situations? It seems like it's unable to control bleeding.

Bleeding caused by uc is treated with uc medications like your canasa and lialda. You might be able to increase your canasa dosage (is it 1gram a day?). You might be able to get a prescription for a steroid suppository or foam. If the blood is getting worse contact your gastroenterologist (GI) as he/she can do an examination and prescribe stronger dosages.

Non uc causes for rectal bleeding are often hemorrhoids ( do you have a history?). You can also get fissures, tears, or fistulas.
