Vitamin E Enema

There are a number of threads on this already. But yes a few people have tried it and had success. The hardest part is getting it into the rectum since it doesnt mix with water

I use them a lot when flaring and I believe they help. I mix them with my Rowasa. I just pour them in the bottle, shake it up, and use the Rowasa like normal.

MAdCAM is a protein on vascular endothelial cells of the GI track. Its what the alpha4 beta7 integrins on WBCs bind to to get into the GI tract. Vedolizmab/entyvio binds to and blocks the alpha4 beta 7 integrins on WBCs while my drug blocks MAdCAM, so they are very similar.

Ive been on the max dose since September and while the inflammation has gone down a fair bit, Ive only really gone from 11-13 BMs/day to 8-11 so not a huge improvement. That being said, Ive been in a constant flare for 5.5 years so there is probably a lot of damage and I may never get much better as it is.

Sorry - slightly different subject to OP

But Dreadsteel, I see you are on Boswellia. I have been trying to source liquid Boswellia for three months now and simply cannot find it anywhere. Even find a supplement capsule has been difficult. I have read some amazing things about it in relation to IBD. Is is helping you? And what brand are you using?

Vitamin E enemas has had no effects on my colitis, it did not work for me at all. It was not worth trying.
