So you mean actual ounces of the liquid, and not the g of mesalamine? Dosage generally refers more to the g of active ingredient, and you seem to be asking about the volume. Mesalamine enemas are usually 4g/60 mL (so 4 grams of mesalamine with 60 mL total of liquid), although I have heard of 2g enemas on this board. I'm not sure where all they're available, though.
Are you concerned about overdose of mesalmine, or are you concerned your child won't be able to retain 60 mL? If it's the overdosage aspect, I wouldn't at all worry about it, because mealamine is very poorly absorbed, especially when it's in the enema form. If it's the latter, you can simply just use half of an enema at a time. However, I'd at least try using the whole thing - it certainly won't hurt anything, and if she can't retain that much, then at least you'll know.
